Elena completed her MSc degree in Archaeology, with a focus on Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology, at La Sapienza University (Rome), after which she undertook a one-year professional course at Siena University where she specialized in the application of Geomatics and Geotechnologies to Archaeology. She has participated in many fieldwork projects, including excavations, geophysical prospections, and topographical surveys, both in Italy and in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Since joining the BSR in 2018 as the Archaeology and Geophysics Researcher she has been involved in numerous BSR archaeological projects.
