Priyesh Mistry is Associate Curator of Modern & Contemporary Projects at the National Gallery, London where he works towards an ambitious programme to integrate contemporary art within the context of the museum’s historic collections. He manages the artists residency programmes and contemporary commissions, including recent exhibitions Paula Rego: Crivelli’s Garden (2023), Nalini Malani: My Reality is Different (2023) and with Céline Condorelli: Pentimenti (The Corrections) (2023). Previously, he was Assistant Curator at Tate Modern where he specialised on acquiring art from South Asia and its diaspora for the collection. He co-curated the Hyundai Commission 2019: Kara Walker in the Turbine Hall, the major retrospective on Anni Albers (2018) as well as numerous collection displays.
