Ian Haynes

Ian Haynes is Chair of Archaeology at the BSR and Professor of Archaeology at Newcastle University, UK.  He is PI of the ERC Advanced Grant Project ‘ Rome Transformed: interdisciplinary analysis of Political, Military and Religious regenerations of the city’s forgotten quarter C1-C8 CE’, and co-directed the Lateran and SGL2 Projects with Paolo Liverani. In Britain he also co-directs excavations on at Birdoswald on Hadrian’s Wall.
