Edward Chambers

Eddie Chambers was born in Wolverhampton, England and lives between Austin, Texas and Edinburgh, Scotland. He gained his PhD from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1998. He has curated a considerable number of exhibitions, having worked with artists such as Permindar Kaur, Pat Ward Williams, Mildred Howard and Lesley Sanderson. After periods as a Visiting Professor at Emory University, Atlanta, he joined the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin in January 2010 where he is now holder of the David Bruton, Jr. Centennial Professorship in Art History. His focus is African Diaspora art.
