Claudia Bolgia is Professor in the History of Medieval Art at the Università degli Studi di Udine.

Her research interests include Italian medieval art and architecture within their historical, social and intellectual context, with particular attention to Rome; cultural and artistic exchanges across the Mediterranean and northern Europe; the reach of intellectual and political networks.
