Beatrice Gelosia

Beatrice has been associated with the BSR since 1981, becoming full-time in 1989 and Deputy librarian in 2017.

She oversees the cataloging, through Integrated Library Systems and international standard formats, of modern and early printed editions, periodicals, manuscripts, plans, maps, graphic material (prints, drawings), photographs and archival documents. She deals with the management of the descriptive data of the various resources, including the online publication of metadata and its interoperability.

She is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the authority records for names, places, subjects etc. using the Library’s ILS. She manages Library/Archive research projects in collaboration with colleagues and IT consultants.
