The British School at Rome is delighted to present Spring Open Studios 2025, an evening dedicated to studio visits of artists in residence at the BSR.

The artists will be present with some of their work to answer visitors’ questions and share their research: Catherine Ferguson – Abbey Fellow, Can Gun – Abbey Scholar, Abigail Hampsey – Rebecca Scott Rome Resident, Sophio Medoidze – Sainsbury Scholar, Laura NĂFhlaibhĂn – Derek Hill Foundation Fellow, Cathie Pilkington – Bridget Riley Fellow, Ash Tower – Samstag Scholar in the Visual Arts.

Opening: Wednesday 5 March 2025 18 – 20.30
Thursday 6 March 2025 16 – 19

The event represents a different way of experiencing research in progress, that aims to give the audience a broader insight into the artists’ work, to discover their residency projects, their creative practices and, most importantly, to understand how a new environment, meetings and network with the local artistic community, can give rise to new experimentations.

The event will be held in-person. No registration is required to attend.
