The colloquium is held in memory Dr Helen Patterson (BSR Assistant Director 1997 – 2007), a leading expert in the study of Late Antique and Medieval pottery in Italy.  A series of invited papers will discuss aspects of trade, production and economy in Central Italy which were central to her work.
