The British School at Rome is happy to present TEN YEARS: BSR People 14 – 24, a solo show by Antonio Palmieri, who over the course of ten years working at BSR has photographed the people who have passed through the academy, from fellows to staff, inventing characters and telling stories.

Antonio Palmieri is a photographer based in Rome. He studied Fine Arts at the ISA and has since worked on a series of interconnected photographic projects. He has been involved in photography for more than fifteen years, gaining important experience also with ceramics and the processing of precious metals. Palmieri deals with photographic portraits, theatrical photography and various photographic projects.

Camilla Boemio is an art curator and writer, associated with AICA (International Art Critics) and IKT. She co-founded the nomadic art platform AAC Platform, and since 2022 has been on the board of Cycladic Arts, an art residency in the Cyclades for artists and writers. Her work focuses on interdisciplinary systems from an intersectional feminist perspective, with a focus on social systems and other ecologies. Some curatorial projects include: Fromoso, solo exhibition by Zoè Gruni, at AOC F58 Galleria Bruno Lisi in Rome (2023); ‘900 Talks – Body as Frontier with artist Zoè Gruni at Pistoia Musei (2023); Ascension, exhibition with Matthew Smith at AOC F58 Galleria Bruno Lisi (2023); The coat of hipness (veiled materials), exhibition by Jérôme Chazeix, at Label201 (2020); Marina Moreno, Dance as sculpture in space supported by Arts Council England (2019-2020). In 2022 she was associate curator of Pera + Flora + Fauna: The Story of Indigenousness and the Ownership of History, at the 59th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia. In 2016 she was the curator of Diminished Capacity, Nigeria’s first national pavilion at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia. In 2018 she took part in the VVM project at Tate Liverpool.
