The British School at Rome mourns the passing of Professor Lorenzo Quilici on the 13 August, a leading archaeologist in Italian topographical studies and an Honorary Fellow of the BSR. His pioneering work investigating Latium Vetus, in particular the study of Roman roads, the formation of towns and the organisation of the landscape are themes central to the long-term research programme of the BSR. The BSR community sends its condolences to his wife, BSR Honorary Fellow Professor Stefania Quilici Gigli.
