Florian Roithmayr

Florian Roithmayr is a sculptor generating and tracing exchanges between materials, between bodies and materials, and between bodies. 

He initially trained in Germany as a theatre designer with Herbert Scherreiks and at the Institute for Film and Theatre Studies of the Freie Universität Berlin, before studying in the UK, completing a PhD at the Slade School of Art. A BSR alumnus, Florian has had residencies and research fellowships at HIAP Finland, Treignac Projet France, Henry Moore Institute Leeds, Site Gallery Sheffield and Wysing Arts Centre Cambridge. He is Professor in Art at the University of Reading.
