The Architectural Association has launched the 2026 Architecture Through Media Forums, a series of high-impact, small-cohort gatherings exploring how architecture is made public through time-based media, printed and digital platforms, books, exhibitions, and objects. Each Forum approaches architecture as a discursive, artistic, and cultural practice, treating mediation as a creative act—a way of constructing knowledge and imagination through different forms of representation.
The 2026 programme includes four Forums, three held at the AA in London and one in Rome:
A) Media–Architecture Rome Forum – 22–27 June 2026, British School at Rome, Rome
A retreat integrating publishing, film, and design through engagement with the city.
B) Film–Architecture Forum – 24–28 July 2026, AA School, London
Exploring storytelling, filmmaking, and the capture of emotional and physical space.
C) Publishing–Architecture Forum – 31 July–4 August 2026, AA School, London
Focusing on books, magazines, exhibitions, and digital platforms.
D) Design–Architecture Forum – 14–18 August 2026, AA School, London
Centred on objects, materials, and hands-on experimentation.
