Robert Adam Rome Scholarship in Architecture

Are you an architect or scholar passionate about classical architecture and its evolution in Rome and Italy? The Robert Adam Rome Scholarship offers a transformative three-month residency at the British School at Rome to pursue a self-directed research project exploring this rich tradition.

Whether your work focuses on urban form, architectural measurement and drawing, theoretical inquiry, or historical investigation, your project will contribute fresh insights into classical architecture’s legacy. Research can centre on Rome or other Italian locations, culminating in a final report or portfolio designed to influence contemporary architectural practice.

As a scholar in residence, you’ll gain full access to the BSR’s outstanding Library and Archive collections and become part of a vibrant community of artists and researchers. Engage in inspiring intellectual and social exchanges that enrich your work and experience.
