Slip Tank

The Naughton Gallery, Belfast, is currently hosting a solo exhibition by John Rainey, based on work made at the BSR during his award as Arts Council of Northern Ireland Fellow 2017–18.

We are delighted to share an essay accompanying the exhibition written by Lara Pucci (Henry Moore-BSR Sculpture Fellow) who was an Award-Holder alongside John Rainey in 2017–18.

Lara expressed that the exhibition guide acts as a nice document of the kinds of research collaborations that can develop between residents from different disciplines at the BSR.

John Rainey – Slip Tank runs at the Naughton Gallery until 22 December 2021. Read the exhibition essay here.
